Freshers Day celebrated

Staff Reporter

VIJAYAWADA: Song and dance programmes by the senior and junior students of CMTES College of Hotel Management marked their Freshers Day celebrations at Hotel Fortune Murali Park here on Saturday.

Students of B.Sc. second year accorded a warm welcome to the junior students. While the college principal and the faculty members delivered inspiring lectures, students showcased multifarious talents on the dance floor.

The colourful event began with a catwalk. A couple of students sang songs from latest Telugu movies, which was followed by solo, duet and group dances. Senior students Rudra Kumar, Prudhvi, Bulli Dora and Anuragini set the stage on fire with their dance numbers.

As the participants danced to the latest hits ‘Magadheera,’ ‘Oye’ and ‘Maska’, whistles and hoots rocked the hall.

Principal V. Chakrapani Rao presented awards to the best performing students, based on their marks, attendance and grooming.
