The love couple in the flick. Film: Love Khichdi Cast: Randeep Hooda, Sada, Riya Sen, Sonali Kulkarni Direction: Srinivas Bhashyam Sex comedy has already established itself as a genre, but director Srinivas Bhashyam seems to have missed the wave, including last year’s absolutely wild “Dil Kabaddi”. He presents the same old confusion of every bachelor about commitment, the same old rush of hormones in a kitschy fashion. Yesterday’s khichdi, presented as fresh! Some of the situations are realistic but it is the writing and the treatment that fails this concoction. Randeep Hooda plays an ambitious chef who loves girls, experiments with different types. In short, a male chauvinist, who ignores what he has got and keeps going for a mirage. Randeep is suitably cocky as the incorrigible flirt, and the girls (Sada, Diva Dutta, Riya Sen, Rituparna Sengupta, Sonali Kulkarni…) are passable. Unfortunately, Srinivas takes the predictable long route, like a soap opera, to reach the destination making it a journey with few engaging moments. A. K
