Terracotta toys from West Bengal on display at the on-going Lepakshi Crafts Bazar at Viswapriya Function Hall in the city. — VISAKHAPATNAM: It’s time to go on a freewheeling shopping spree. Offering myriad choices under one roof is the Crafts Bazar organised by Lepakshi at Viswapriya Function Hall. The exhibition was inaugurated by Chief Conservator of Forest P.A.V. Udaya Bhaskar on Friday. Around 80 stalls from all over India are put up at the exhibition. “With festivals round the corner, we are expecting good crowd and hope to make Rs.40 lakh sales,” Senior Manager of Lepakshi Handicrafts Emporium G. Jaganmohan Rao said here at a press meet. The exhibition has crafts like Venkatgiri sarees, Kalamkari sarees and dress materials, Khadi material, lace items, carpets, Etikoppakka toys, handloom and handicrafts from Kashmir, Haryana, Rajasthan, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Gujarat, Karnataka and Orissa. This time a stall of exclusive ‘kantha stitch’ dress materials and sarees from West Bengal. A stall of M.K. Tailors of Jaipur has an impressive collection of cotton kurtis and dress materials. The exhibition is open September 6.
