Dispelling myths: Schoolchildren taking out a rally in Dharwad on Sunday. DHARWAD: A large number of schoolchildren participated in a rally to create awareness on A(H1N1) influenza, organised by the Rotary Parivar in Dharwad on Sunday. Deputy Commissioner of Dharwad Darpan Jain flagged off the rally and also took part in it. Members of the Rotary Parivar and the students held placards listing symptoms of the flu and precautionary measures to be taken. The participants distributed pamphlets on dos and don’ts with regard to the flu. Event coordinator Shivakumar Kumbar, event chairman Ganesh Bhat and other office-bearers led the awareness rally which passed through thoroughfares of the city.
