Thiruvananthapuram: As many as 10 cases of A(H1N1) have been reported from across the State in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of affected people to 217. A press note issued by the Health Director’s office said three cases were confirmed in Thiruvananthapuram, two in Malappuram and one each in Pathanamthitta, Ernakulam, Kozhikode, Wayanad and Kannur. As many as 31 patients had been quarantined, of which eight are in hospital quarantine and 23 in house quarantine. The press note said throat swabs of 12 people were sent to the Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology here on Monday while that of 10 others were despatched to the Kasturba Medical College, Manipal.
