Lucknow: In a separate case, an FIR has been filed against Vibha Tewari, an accused in a PWD engineer Manoj Gupta murder case, for allegedly threatening a civic body officer while initiatives were underway to cancel her bail in the sensational case. In a complaint to DGP Vikram Singh on Monday, executive officer of Nagar Panchayat, Auraiya, Prahlad Kashyap alleged that Vibha Tewari, now on bail in the engineer murder case, had been threatening him, ADG (law and order) A. K. Jain said. Mr. Kashyap said ever since she came out on bail and took charge as Nagar Palika chairman, Ms. Tewari along with her associate Manjul Pandey had been threatening and harassing him. The complaint has also sought revoking her bail. In pursuance of DGP directives, an FIR has been lodged against the duo at the Dibiyapur police station of Auraiya. An armed constable has also been provided to Mr. Kashyap for security. Besides, a government counsel has been asked to initiate proceedings for getting her bail cancelled, Mr. Jain said.
