LeT operative arrested

SRINAGAR: Security forces arrested an armed militant of the Lashker-e-Taiba in Baramulla district on Thursday, a day after five militants were killed during an infiltration bid in the Gurez sector.

An AK assault rifle, one magazine, 20 rounds, and a hand-grenade were recovered from the militant at Gojarpathi village near Sopore, 55 km from here, a police spokesman said.

In another operation, the security forces recovered an under barrel grenade launcher with two grenades and one GPS from Zakher Pathri near the Machil sector of Kupwara district. — PTI
