He led from the front: Governor

Special Correspondent

HYDERABAD: “Words fail me to give expression to my deep sorrow and anguish,” A.P. Governor N.D. Tiwari said in his condolence message on the death of Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy.

Mr. Tiwari described Dr. Reddy as a charismatic and dynamic leader who had endeared himself to the people with his deep commitment to their welfare and uplift. He led the State on the path of unprecedented growth and development. He always wanted the fruits of development to reach the common man. “The people of India will also remember him for his dedication to Gandhian ideals and values.”

The Governor said: “Rajasekhara Reddy symbolised the aspirations of all the people of Andhra Pradesh and he stood resolutely for the development of its most backward regions. He led from the front and was an inspiring figure. It is most tragic that he had laid down his life while taking the administration to the doorsteps of the people.”
