Two killed in mishaps

NEW DELHI: Two young men were killed and over a dozen injured in accidents involving Blueline buses in different parts of the Capital on Thursday. Lalit, an engineering student of Jamia Millia Islamia, was crushed to death between two Blueline buses at New Friends Colony around 5-45 p.m. He was boarding a bus plying on route 507 from its rear door when another bus plying on route 894 crushed him. Both the drivers fled abandoning the vehicle on the spot.

In another accident, 23-year-old Surender Kumar Singh was killed and his wife Kavita injured when a motorcycle they were riding was hit by a Blueline bus plying on route 479 – between Badarpur border and Punjabi Bagh -- around 7-30 p.m. The police have arrested the driver.
