Rain destroyed crops and houses in the taluk between August 31 and September 2 Team formed to conduct survey at the hobli level Raichur: The district administration has taken up a survey to assess crop loss, damage to houses and public properties caused by heavy rain in Sindhanur taluk recently. Deputy Commissioner Adoni Syed Saleem on Friday issued an order to the tahsildar of Sindhanur to take up a detailed survey of the villages in the taluk where heavy rain destroyed crops and damaged houses and public properties between August 31 and September 2. The tahsildar had been asked to complete the survey with the help of village accountants and submit a report in three days. Official sources said that the tahsildar had formed a team of officials comprising revenue inspectors and village accountants to conduct the survey. He had asked the team members to visit the affected villages in the taluk and take up a survey at the hobli level. The district administration would take up relief work based on the report submitted by the tahsildar, the sources said.
