Brace by Tiru

NEW DELHI: Tiru Mavuaarasu scored a brace to help ASC (Bangalore) beat New Delhi Heroes 2-1 in a qualifying round match of the Durand Cup football tournament at the Ambedkar Stadium here on Friday.

Tiru scored the goals in the 33rd and 46th minutes. Manoj Joshi of New Delhi Heroes reduced the margin in the 50th minute.

Assam Rifles posted a 3-0 victory over MEG (Bangalore) in another match. Lalrinkima (28th), Abensema (52nd) and G. Jigdune (89th) were the scorers.
