HYDERABAD: Allotment of engineering seats in Andhra Pradesh will be done by 5 p.m. on Sunday and students who have given their mobile numbers will get an SMS alert on the allotted course and college. Officials said the information would be available on the website ‘http://apeamcet.nic.in’ and students can download the allotment order. However, they would be able to access the information on the website two hours after the SMS alert. The EAMCET counselling camp officer, K. Raghunath, said that 1.47 lakh students of the 1.6 lakh who have registered have given mobile numbers. InstructionsCandidates have to log onto the website, enter their hall-ticket number, registration number, date of birth and password after which the allotment order would be displayed. Dr. Raghunath said candidates should read instructions carefully and take a printout of the allotment order. The bank challan for paying the fee can also be downloaded from the website. After paying the fee at any branch of Indian Bank or Andhra Bank in the State, candidates have to report to the allotted college before September 11. Those who have secured seats can also attend the second phase of counselling along with candidates who failed to get a seat in the first phase. Candidates who have secured admission and yet are not interested in joining the college can take back their certificates.
