‘YSR a man of great vision’

HYDERABAD: C.R. Rao, eminent scientist, statistician and founder of the C.R. Rao Advanced Institute of Maths/Statistics/Computer Science, Hyderabad, in a message from the US on Saturday condoled the death of Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy.

He said in the death of Reddy, not only Andhra Pradesh, but the entire country lost a leader of great vision and dynamism.

“As Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, he worked for the welfare of the people, especially the poor, and set an example for other States to follow. He believed in a balanced development of the State through investment in agriculture, industry, IT, bio-technology and related areas. Such a policy had led to a rapid economic growth of the State and greater satisfaction of the people. His tragic death is a grievous loss to Andhra Pradesh in many ways,” said.
