THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The hill districts of Idukki and Pathanamthitta, where Kerala’s major hydroelectric reservoirs are situated, are receiving the season’s best spell of rainfall at the moment, bringing a great deal of relief to the Kerala State Electricity Board. With the weather models of the India Meteorology Department forecasting the possibility of the downpour continuing for at least two-three more days, the present spell has the potential to bring down part of the deficit of water inflow to the major reservoirs in these two districts and also the reservoirs in other parts of the State.
