Three held, licence of 12 PDS shops cancelled

Lucknow: Three persons were arrested and licence of 12 public distribution system (PDS) shops were cancelled in raids conducted by the Food and Civil Supplies Department in Barabanki district, about 30 kms from here, officials sources said here on Monday.

The raids were conducted on complaints filed by locals about foul play of PDS shop owners, senior officials said, adding that while licences of 12 shops were cancelled, 27 licences were suspended.
