KOZHIKODE: The INTUC- led Indian National Salaried Employees and Professional Workers Federation would organise campaigns to highlight the need to enact new labour laws, the federation’s president M.P. Padmanabhan said here on Tuesday. The federation had passed a resolution raising this demand at its all-India conference held in Bangalore recently, he said. The federation had also been demanding early action on its demand to ensure labour participation in management, both in private and public sectors. Mr. Padmanabhan said the federation had decided to put pressure on both the Central and State governments to introduce comprehensive social security measures in the light of the drastic changes taking place in the global economic scene and the challenges facing the working class.
