CP warns against vigilantism
Police Commissioner K.V. Rajendranath Reddy on Tuesday cautioned the public against wielding sticks and weapons and moving around in residential areas in the wake of rumours doing rounds about movement of thieves in the city. Mr. Reddy appealed to the public not to get carried away by the rumours, as they lacked any factual basis. He said that the police seized sticks and other weapons from the public during nights in the last three days. He urged the public to report any suspicious movement of persons to the police and not to go by rumours.
