‘Annadanam’ held for the poor

ADILABAD: Annadanams and praises in favour of former Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy marked the large number of condolence meetings organised across the district on Tuesday. At Kagaznagar, former Sirpur MLA Koneru Konappa got his head shorn indicating the departed leader was father figure.

He offered ‘annadanam’ to the poor. At Nirmal, former Adilabad MP A. Indrakaran Reddy organised ‘annadanam’ in memory of the former Chief Minister. The District Officers’ Association organised a condolence meeting here, where a large number of district-level officials participated.

They recalled with special emphasis that Rajasekhara Reddy had given development to Adilabad. Journalists under the aegis of the local press club offered condolences to the former Chief Minister.
