State to be a model in ‘green’ norms

HYDERABAD: Chief Minister K. Rosaiah on Thursday said the State government was committed to adopting the best practices for green buildings to emerge as a role model in the country.

He was speaking at the inaugural of the 7th edition of the Green Building Congress-2009, an international conference and exhibition on green buildings.

Mr. Rosaiah also presented awards to the winners of the Green I contest for schools, Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) Green Design Competition and Rated Green Buildings in India.

The participants included M.S. Rao, Development Commissioner, Visakhapatnam Special Economic Zone.
