Plea against use of plastic

VISAKHAPATNAM: On the eve of World Anti-plastic Day on Saturday, the Hundred Months Climate Protection Committee appealed to the people to avoid use of plastic, as it is causing a great damage to environment.

It wanted people to stop using polythene bags and covers, not to buy plastic toys for children, avoid flexi boards made of polymer vinyl chloride and not to pollute the earth with plastic covers as they would damage the earth and groundwater. It appealed to the people to hand over a better environment to the next generation by avoiding use of plastic material.
