Rain lashes Erode

ERODE: Ending days of hot weather, rain lashed Erode and neighbouring areas on Sunday night.

Rain that started around 8 p.m. continued past midnight, bringing in the much-needed relief to public. Squall and thunder that accompanied the rain brought down trees in many a part of the city.

Rainfall recorded in the 24 hours ending Monday morning state that Erode received 127 mm. Bhavani, Chennimalai and other towns in the district also received good rain.
