HYDERABAD: Poems about the mentors were recited and paeans sung about pedagogues on the occasion of Teachers’ Day at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan’s Public School, Jubilee Hills, here on September 5.
A parent, Geetha Khurana, helped the students pen poems about ‘The Teacher’ which they recited on the D-Day. Children performed dances with ‘teacher’ as the central theme.
The school also held a poll for the ‘Decade’s Hero’ on the lines of the United Nation’s ‘Global Vote’ in which all the citizens below 18 years are eligible to vote. A polling booth was set up where Class IX students cast their votes.
Another memorable occasion for the school was when it had the investiture ceremony for the primary school students. Sardar Aryaman Singh and Priyanshi Damania were chosen as the head boy and head girl respectively.
They along with the house captains were sworn in by the senior principal, C. Rama Devi.
