ERODE: Collector R. Sudalaikannan has asked officials to act immediately on petitions received from public. A release from the district administration says he asked the officials to act diligently on the petitions at the weekly grievance meeting at the Collectorate. At the Monday’s meeting, the administration received 42 petitions seeking patta (free title deed), and 352 petitions for employment, educational loan, title deed transfer, financial assistance, etc., the release says. He also enquired about the action taken on petitions received from Chief Minister’s Special Cell, the release adds. Meanwhile, the district administration will hold a public grievances meeting at the panchayat union elementary school at Odayakavundampalayam, near Gobichettipalayam, on September 16, says a release and asks members of public from the area to air their grievances, if any, as officials from all departments concerned will be present.
