LIC staff strike

Employees of LIC will go on a day’s strike on Wednesday demanding immediate settlement of wages due from August 1, 2007, in response to a call given by All India Insurance Employees’ Association. Class One officers of LIC are also participating in the strike, according to Insurance Corporation Employees’ Union Visakhapatnam division general secretary B.B. Ganesh.
