Woman constable found dead
Tirupur: The body of woman constable M. Jeyamani (39), who was missing from the district under mysterious circumstances since August 23, was traced to Perumanallur near here on Friday.
It was found on a cemetery premises in a decomposed state. Ms. Jeyamani, attached to the Kangayam all-woman police station, was reported missing while she was posted on bandobust duty along National Highway 47 at Perumanallur when the convoy of a prominent politician was to pass through the stretch.
The Perumanallur police have registered a case and are investigating. — Staff Reporter
