CHENNAI: It may be a necessary condition for lawyers to be thorough with statutory and common law while presenting a cogent case but in experience this was not so, said, Supreme Court Judge P. Gurunathan, advocate and notary public, Madras High Court was released at a function organised by Educational and Social Research Organisation (ESRO). In his special address, Justice Sathasivam said that the efforts made by Mr.Gurunathan would make it easier for the lawyers to be thorough with their cases and assist the courts to decide the matter correctly. The book contains several Acts and Rules pertaining to land laws in Tamil Nadu and all major judicial laws pronounced by the Supreme Court and Madras High Court for the last 10 years. He asked Mr.Gurunathan to come out with hand books on various acts that deals with rural employment schemes, domestic violence, unorganised workers and protection of elders. Receiving the first copy, Nalini Chidambaram, senior advocate of Madras High Court, said that it would serve as a useful tool to the lawyers, reducing their workload and serve the downtrodden.
