Bar council demand

Kochi: The Bar Council of Kerala has termed as misleading the statement of Law Minister M. Vijayakumar that the government was not able to make the Advocate Welfare Fund Ordinance into an Act because of the apathy of the Bar Council.

A resolution passed by the Bar Council said that in fact it was the Law Minster who should have taken the initiative to introduce the Bill for making the Ordinance into an Act before the Assembly.
