CHENNAI: A retired head constable was arrested by the Thousand Lights police for allegedly sexually harassing a minor girl in the area on Monday evening.
According to police sources, the accused, A. Kasi (82) residing on Ghulam Ali Azad Ali Khan Fifth Street, owned a grocery store in front of his house. When the victim came to make a purchase on Monday night, he allegedly closed the door and tried to sexually harass her. The girl’s parents who came in search of their daughter heard her cries from inside the shop and rescued her. Kasi was remanded to judicial custody, sources said.
