Flu toll touches 86

BANGALORE: Three A(H1N1) influenza deaths were reported in the State on Wednesday, taking the death toll to 86.

While one of them took place in Udupi, two persons were reported dead in the city — one in a private hospital and the other in a government hospital. The two patients who died in Bangalore were men and were aged 37 and 66. The patient in Udupi was a five-year-old girl, according to a press release issued here by the Directorate of Health and Family Services. Meanwhile, 392290 passengers were screened at the BIA on Wednesday.
