IIT faculty members go on fast

CHENNAI: A forum of faculty members representing the All-India IIT Faculty Federation (AIIITFF) went on a hunger fast at the Indian Institute of Technology-Madras here on Thursday, protesting the MHRD’s proposals regarding restrictions on IITs. “It was a hunger fast from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., but classes went on as usual,” AIIITFF president M. Thenmozhi said.
