Junior artiste attacked by kin of wife

MAHABUBNAGAR: There was mild tension near the district court on Thursday when junior cine artiste Chitram Srinu attended the court here on a domestic violence case filed by his first wife.
His second wife sustained minor injuries and his vehicle was partly damaged.
Srinu had married Uma Maheshwari of Mahabubnagar who was also a junior artiste in 2003. Subsequently, he married Maneetha, a small-time dancer from Kurnool district.
Following this, Uma Maheshwari approached the court and filed a case under Domestic Violence Act.
Chitram Srinu came to attend the court along with his second wife, which irked his first wife Uma Maheshwari and her relatives who attacked his vehicle when he was on his return journey to Hyderabad.
With the intervention of police, he could manage to escape unscathed.
