More benefits mooted for beedi workers

HYDERABAD: Added benefits like nose filter to every beedi worker, new medical dispensaries and routing of all fresh applications for housing through the Andhra Pradesh State Housing Corporation Ltd have been recommended to the Centre for the welfare of beedi workers.

A release said here on Friday that the benefits were mooted at a meeting here on September 14 attended by the Economic Adviser to the Union Labour Ministry.
