Kakinada: JNTU-Kakinada is introducing academic audit from this year to ensure that the technological education being imparted in 220 plus engineering colleges in its purview is of high standard. A special team of the University will be visiting the affiliated colleges to make necessary inspections so that the norms are followed by the managements. The auditing will cover both the faculty and infrastructure aspects, Vice-Chancellor Allam Appa Rao stated in a press release. Prof. Rao discussed the modalities of academic auditing with Controller of Examinations G.V.R. Prasada Raju and made some suggestions pertaining to requirements to be fulfilled by the colleges.
