CUDDALORE: The loan waiver scheme has made the cooperative housing societies sick and the future of the employees bleak, said K. Balasubramanian, State president of the Tamil Nadu Government Employees’ Union (TNGEU). Addressing a press conference here on Saturday, Mr. Balasubramanian said the State government had written off loans to the tune of Rs. 700 crore given by the cooperative housing societies.
