Phone lines hit

MADURAI: Around 300 telephone lines of Bharat Sanchar Nigam were affected in a few places when drainage work in Anna Nagar Main Road was taken up on Saturday. The BSNL Madurai General Manager, V.K. Sanjeevi, said that efforts were being taken on a war-footing to restore the lines in Anna Nagar Main Road, Church Street, Pallivasal Street, Anna Nagar VII Cross Street, Pandian Apartments, 9th and 10th East Cross Streets, SLC Colony, Vaigai Colony and Golcha Complex.
