Fatally knocked down

CHENNAI: A 21-year-old man was fatally knocked down by an MTC bus on Red Hills Road on Saturday afternoon.

The police said Karthik was a resident of T.H Road in Puduchatram near Avadi.

The accident took place around 12.45 p.m. when his motorcycle was hit by the bus on route number M 248.

He died on the spot.

Karthik was an apprentice at the Heavy Vehicles Factory in Avadi, police sources said.
