Encroachment by BUDA alleged

Staff Correspondent

BIDAR: A Bidar-based advocate has alleged that officials of the Bidar Urban Development Authority (BUDA) and Town Planning have constructed a ring road through his agricultural property (survey number 83) in Aliabad village on the outskirts of the city.

Ramachandra Gandge told The Hindu on Monday that officials damaged the standing crop on four acres of land by constructing a 100-ft wide road through it.

The advocate said, “None of the departments responsible for the construction have consulted me in this regard nor have they issued notification for laying the ring road through the fields to connect Aliabad with Janawada road.”

He said that he would go to court on the issue.
