Minister felicitates four patrons

CHENNAI: Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Minister K.R. Periyakaruppan on Tuesday felicitated four persons who had made donations for the renovation of dilapidated temples. They were given certificates of the ‘Thirukoil Puravalar’ (temple patron) award and cards. So far, 35 patrons have contributed Rs.1.75 crore under the scheme of donation, according to an official release. Among those present were G. Thilakavathi, Additional Director General of Police (Economic Offences), and P.R. Shampath, HR&CE Commissioner. — Special Correspondent
