VISAKHAPATNAM: City-based philatelist and numismatist D. Satyabudhhu has added another coin to his collection. The 1 Crown denomination bronze coin issued by Isle of Man has a pharaoh, Tutankhamun (1341-1323 BC), on the obverse and Queen Elizabeth II on the reverse. The triangular coin, ‘the world’s first pyramid coin,’ has been created to mark the new Tutankhamun exhibition in London in 2007. It shows some of the artefacts found in the pharaoh’s tomb in the Valley of Kings by English archaeologist Howard Carter. It is described as the most complete ancient Egyptian royal tomb ever found. The coin has been presented to Mr. Satyabudhhu by Kuchibhotla Asrita of Bangalore.
