KADAPA: District Collector Shashi Bhushan Kumar inspected Buggavanka reservoir on Wednesday in the wake of incessant rainfall for the last two days and said that there was no need for alarm as the present water level was still below the full reservoir level. Buggavanka reservoir level was at present 179.75 metres out of an FRL of 186 metres, the Collector said. The dam was receiving an inflow of 350 cusecs a day and there was no cause for alarm now, he said. Directing officials concerned to be vigilant, he told Irrigation SE Krishna Reddy to fill gravel on the ramp of the dam. When he enquired if wireless sets with personnel at the dam were in order, the SE said they were not functioning due to change in the frequency. SE, Irrigation Krishna Reddy, executive engineer Prabhakar Reddy, DE Muralimohan Raju and junior engineers Pattabhirami Reddy and Revathi participated.
