Protest march

Karwar: Members of the Dalit Sangharsha Samiti (DSS) took out a protest march here on Wednesday and submitted a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner in support of their demands. The members demanded that land and houses be given to the Dalits. They appealed to the Government to set up factories for Dalits and hostels for students from the community. N. S. Chennappa Gowda, Deputy Commissioner, promised them that he would bring their demands to the notice of the State Government.
