Mouma and Poulami to clash for title

Coimbatore: Mouma Das of Oil India defeated Mousami Pal of ONGC 11-9, 13-15, 11-7, 11-8, 11-5 and entered the women’s singles final of the All India Public Sector table tennis tournament, organised by the Food Corporation of India, at the Dr. GRD College of Science here on Wednesday.

In the clash for the title, Mouma will take on Poulami Ghatak of BPCL, who scored a 10-12, 11-9, 7-11, 11-7, 11-9, 6-11, 11-3 win over Pooja Sahasrabhude of Oil India.

The results: Men: Doubles (final): Zubin Kumar & Debesh Karia (Oil India) bt Jabarjeet Singh & Parag Agarwal (LIC) 11-2, 11-7, 11-8.

Women: Singles (semifinals): Poulami Ghatak (BPCL) bt Pooja Sahasrabhude (Oil India) 10-12, 11-9, 7-11, 11-7, 11-9, 6-11, 11-3; Mouma Das (Oil India) bt Mousami Pal (ONGC) 11-9, 13-15, 11-7, 11-8, 11-5. Doubles (final): Mouma Das & Nandita Saha bt Mousami Pal & Soumi Mondal 11-9, 13-15, 11-7, 11-8, 11-5.
