Padma Rao passes away

K. Padma R. Rao

BANGALORE: K. Padma R. Rao, retired Professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and Head of the Department at Bangalore Medical College and Vani Vilas Hospital, died here on Wednesday after a brief illness.

She was 82. She has donated her body to St. John’s Medical College and Hospital for research.

She is survived by her son K. Jairaj, Principal Secretary to Government, Energy Department, and daughter Meera Rao, who lives in the U.S.
