Bodies washed ashore

CHENNAI: The bodies of two unidentified women were washed ashore along the Marina Beach here on Wednesday.

Police said the bodies were noticed by passers-by late on Tuesday following which efforts were made to retrieve them. However, the decomposed bodies got struck to rocks in the area and could not be fished out.

“A special team has been formed to establish their identity. The bodies have been shifted to the Government Hospital for post-mortem,” a police official said.
