Re-exam sought
BANGALORE: Members of the Karnataka Professional Social Workers Network have demanded that the Government conduct a re-examination for filling the posts of Panchayat Development Officers. They staged a demonstration in front of the Mahatma Gandhi Statue on M.G. Road here on Wednesday. Network convenor Shashikanth Rao said that the question paper of the entrance test held on September 20 was leaked at Gulbarga and Koppal centres. “This is injustice to honest and meritorious candidates who have appeared for the test. The network would hold a State-wide agitation if a re-examination is not conducted,” he said. Later, they submitted a memorandum to Governor H.R. Bhardwaj and Minister for Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Shobha Karandlaje. — Staff Reporter
