KPCC president Ramesh Chennithala THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) on Wednesday strongly reacted to the proposed October 2 ‘human chain’ campaign sponsored by the Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI), the youth wing of the CPI(M), terming it as an attempt to divert public attention from the deteriorating law and order situation and the debates on the SNC-Lavalin case. In a statement here, KPCC president Ramesh Chennithala accused the CPI(M) of sponsoring an anti-Centre agitation conveniently concealing the deteriorating law and order situation and misusing government machinery to further its political agenda. Mr. Chennithala criticised Chief Minister V.S. Achuthanandan for his statement that the State government would take the initiative to organise anti-Centre agitation and wanted him to use established methods to interact with the Centre to find solutions to the problems affecting the State.
