CAT registration date extended
Special Correspondent
HYDERABAD: The last date for online registration and sale of vouchers for the Common Admission Test 2009 has been extended from October 1 to 11 as several holidays in September inconvenienced candidates.
The decision was taken by the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) that conduct the test for entry into the IIMs and other top business schools in the country. Prometric, entrusted with conducting the first-ever online CAT, said in a statement that the “edit” feature would also be available till October 11. The sale of vouchers at designated AXIS bank branches has been extended till October 8.
“With more than two lakh registrations to date, some test sites have already been filled,” said Ramesh Nava, vice-president and general manager, Asia Pacific, Japan & Africa, Prometric. “Candidates are encouraged to check the list of available sites, read the registration instructions carefully and view the ‘YouTube’ tutorial video to experience a smooth registration process.”
The computer-based CAT, scheduled to be held between November 28 and December 7, will be conducted in 32 cities through 105 secure computer-based testing centres.
