Interest envisaged in collaboration between IT companies in Barcelona and Kerala Team in State for talks on a Twin City pact Thiruvananthapuram: A two-member delegation representing the Spanish city of Barcelona, which arrived here on Wednesday for exploratory talks on a Twin City pact, visited the Technopark campus on Thursday. The team members — Josep Roca, Director International Relations of Barcelona City Council and Gerardo Fueyo-Bros, Cultural Councillor, Embassy of Spain in India, were taken around the campus by Technopark officials led by CEO Mervin Alexander. The delegation was briefed about the various initiatives undertaken by IT Kerala. Mr. Roca appreciated the clean work environment provided by Technopark and expressed keen interest in a collaboration between IT companies in Barcelona and Kerala. He also promised to bring a bigger delegation from Barcelona to the campus soon. Welcoming the delegation, Mr. Alexander said, “One of the thrust areas in the delegations’ preliminary discussions on the twin city tie-up was Information Technology and after our meeting we are very upbeat about a longer association with Barcelona. I see a lot of development happening in the near future with Barcelona.” M. Vasudevan, Business Development Manager, Technopark and K.V. Rajendran, GM (Technical), of Technopark also participated in the meeting.
