Road blocked

Residents of Ward 24 in Tirupur yet again blocked College road on Sunday in protest against the supply of impure drinking water. This is the second time in a month that they were agitating as the Corporation authorities did not take any step to permanently stop sewage water from getting mixed with the drinking water. Dwellers pointed out that though the matter had been taken with the Corporation Commissioner quite a few times, officials concerned were yet to take corrective measures.
