‘No move to shift CWC’

VISAKHAPATNAM: The Director General of Meteorology, Air Vice Marshal Ajit Thyagi, in response to a letter written by T. Subbarami Reddy, MP and chairman of Parliamentary Standing Committee on Science &Technology and Environment and Forests, informed that there was no proposal to shift the Cyclone Warning Centre from Visakhapatnam to Hyderabad and the CWC would continue to function from Visakhapatnam.

Responding to the concern expressed by various organization in the city, Dr. Reddy wrote a letter to the Director General of Meteorology and got the prompt reply.
